Santorini is a dramatic and strikingly beautiful place.

The city of Fira sits on top of the cliff overlooking the harbor. 

 You can walk or ride donkeys up the trail or ride up and down on the cable car.

 We took a bus from Fira to Oia to walk around the village.

The village like Fira is perched on a cliff above the Aegean Sea.

Structures are built more or less on top of each other.

We walked out to these fortifications

As with Fira, access to Oia from the sea is very limited.

Back in Fira we wandered the shops for quite awhile.

 We had lunch is a nice restaurant with a great view out over the water.

 We rode the cable car back down to catch the launch back to the Harmony V.
