Started the day with a trip out of Prague to
Kutna Hora. |
|
|
First stop St. Barbara's Church |
Then to the ossuary in the All Saint's
Cemetery Chapel. Bones from 40,000 people are, more or less,
preserved there. Here is a picture of a chandelier made out of bones
one of the many bone artifacts. I've found lots of people online who
said the ossuary was one of the most interesting things they ever
saw? It didn't do much for me. |
|
|
Then to lunch in the town square |
Kutna Hora had a picturesque town square but
nothing that spoke to being, "one of the best preserved medieval
villages in Europe." All in all for me the tour to Kutna Hora
did not live up to its billing. |
|
|
We did see lots of yellow fields
of rapeseed. They were very pretty. |
Peggi and I wandered around the Old Town area
in the afternoon. There was this parade with these large birdlike manikins. |
